BALADI WATCH

Caring for desert and street dogs in Marsa Alam

ABOUT

What's it all about?

We aren’t vets, or even nurses, we are animal lovers who want to give our time voluntarily to trying to change the situation of street poisoning of animals in Egypt, starting in our local area. We hope to tackle this process through education, and by using our own knowledge and motivation to look after and watch over our local animal population, to do whatever we can to help. All we can do is our best.

TRAP NEUTER RETURN

Population Control

With the help of other local organisations such as Blue Moon Animal Centre in Hurghada, we aim to castrate our local dogs and return them to the territory in which we find them, in order to control the population in a humane way.

ADOPTION

Finding Loving Homes

Baladi dogs are sweet-natured, strong, loving and loyal. We have a number of dogs who would make wonderful pets and who need loving homes. Thanks to our partner organisations we are able to offer adoption within Egypt or abroad.

EDUCATION

Raising Awareness

We aim to spread the word among the local community about how to live alongside stray animals in a peaceful way, and raise awareness of the problem with our network abroad in order to gain support for the project through various means.
